What is Google Aps for Education?
Google Apps for Education is a proven set of communication and collaboration tools that includes email, calendar, documents, messaging and applications. More than 30 million students, teachers, and administrators in schools around the world use Google Apps for Education. Many students will use these tools in college and in the workforce — 7 of the 8 Ivy League universities and 5 million businesses use Google Apps on a daily.

Accessing Previous Emails
As UHCS makes this transition to Google, data from your previous UHCS mail will slowing migrate to your new Google mailbox. To limit mailbox sizes, UHCS users will have access to last 1 year of email data in Google Mail. We anticipate the migration process to be fully completed over the next two-three weeks. To access mail prior to this Google transition, please click here and use your previous UHCS email username and password (if unchanged) to log in. As we make this transition, please do not hesitate to contact IT support. You can email Mr. Davis directly with any questions or request for help. With any transition, there are foreseeable and unforeseeable glitches. IT and Operations will dedicate time over the upcoming days and weeks to quickly troubleshoot and configure devices to make this a smooth process.

What to expect
Many of you already have a Google Mail accounts (Gmail) and are familiar with Google applications and processes. The new UHCS mail will act similar your personal Gmail account. UHCS users will have access to Mail, Calendar, Drive, Docs and Productivity applications (Sheets, Slides etc..) To learn more about Google Apps, please click here.
