Questions to answer in a news article:
In journalism, the Five Ws (also known as the Five Ws (and one H) a formula for getting the "full" story on something. The maxim of the Five Ws (and one H) is that in order for a report to be considered complete it must answer a checklist of six questions:
  • Who? Who was involved?
  • What? What happened (what's the story)?
  • When? When did it take place?
  • Where? Where did it take place?
  • Why? Why did it happen?
  • How? How did it happen

  • News: report of an event
  • Factual: what is true
  • Journalism: the collection and presentation of news.
  • Audience: who reads or views the news.
  • Journalist: a person who collects and presents the news.
  • "The Press": the whole group of journalists
  • Nameplate: the name of the newspaper at the top of the first page.
  • Headline: the title of the article at the top of the column.
  • Dateline: the date and place where the article was written.
  • Byline: the name of the reporter of the article
  • Body: the words of the article
  • Photographs: pictures that go with an article
